July 9th, 2019
We sent out our Tea Party Packs through the Reading Agency to Chatterbooks groups to 50 lucky libraries around the British Isles and just look at how much fun they all had!

You can host your very own tea party this summer too,  just click on the links below to download the packs.

123 Tea Party

Join Fox as he prepares a magnificent tea party for all his friends in this perfect first counting book. Jane Austen, the world famous author, spent most of her life in Hampshire. Its houses, countryside and people inspired her writing. The book design draws on Jane's love of gardens, the flowering plants grown in Hampshire during her lifetime, and by Jane's own garden at Chawton. Published in association with Hampshire Cultural Trust and Jane Austen House Museum.

Hemsworth Library

We shared the delightful 123 Tea Party and The ABC of Musical Instruments books at our storytime session and then the children  sang number songs, did some counting activities and made this beautiful bunting!

Wickford Library

We used the materials during the Easter Holidays when we set up drop-in sessions for people to come and do some crafts in the library. The colouring was the most popular park of the pack. There was nothing else needed - everything was great!

Highley Library

Over the course of April and May we used the resources in the library. I made a display of all the resources sent to me by putting up the bunting and inviting library users to visit the library to make use of what was on offer. The maze activity sheet was the most useful and enjoyed resource provided.

Halton Library
We had our Storytime, activities and a tea party! We used the colour sheets and matching game provided during the activities section. The colouring sheets were the most popular item. Some quotes from the day were:

“ This was a real treat."

"It was absolutely fantastic."

We had a very successful event!

Baddow Hall School

We used our pack with the year 1 children and their parents and it was a lovely event with lots of people discussing the books and having fun – especially with the mazes.
